A Wedding Inside the Dream They Built

Kylie and Chase's story did not start with searching for a wedding venue.

It started with helping build one.

On July 12, 2025, they got married at Venue 5 Twenty-Two in Lincoln, Nebraska, the same modern venue Kylie and her family had spent years turning into something real.

For one day, Kylie got to stop being an owner. No layouts. No timelines. No checking what needed done next. She got to be the bride.

More than 400 people showed up for an outdoor Lutheran ceremony and a packed reception inside. The look was clean, modern, black and white, and still felt warm once everybody filled the room.

I will be honest, a wedding this size can get loud and move fast. But this day never felt like it was only about the crowd or the building.

It was about two people who had already made it through long distance, busy seasons, and a lot of life finally getting to start the next part together.

And they did it inside a place their family built for stories exactly like this.

Getting Ready at Venue 5 Twenty-Two

Keeping the full wedding day at Venue 5 Twenty-Two changed the whole pace of the morning.

Nobody was loading dresses, flowers, camera bags, and half the wedding party into vehicles just to cross Lincoln. Everybody could settle in and actually be there.

Kylie got ready with her bridesmaids in the bright bridal suite. Big windows, white walls, plenty of room, and really clean natural light. It gave us space for the quiet stuff and the chaos without forcing either one.

Across the venue, Chase was with his guys. Joking around, getting dressed, and trying to process that the day was finally here.

He said he was ready to get the next chapter rolling with Kylie.

That was the real story. The venue looked incredible, but their life together was the reason everybody was there.

An Emotional First Look Outside the Venue

Kylie and Chase did their first look right outside Venue 5 Twenty-Two.

At first it was playful. Then Chase turned around and everything got quiet for a second.

Kylie thanked him for being her rock and her best friend. They laughed, hugged, and got a few minutes together before more than 400 people showed up.

That is the real reason I like first looks. Yes, they help the photo and video timeline. But more than that, they give you one small piece of the day that still belongs only to the two of you.

Venue 5 Twenty-Two is a 17,000-square-foot wedding and event venue in south Lincoln, Nebraska.

From the photo and video side, it works because the whole day can happen on one property. You are not burning an hour driving across Lincoln while the people you care about are already doing something worth filming.

You have a bright bridal suite, a separate groom's lounge, an outdoor ceremony space, a turfed patio, flexible indoor reception rooms, onsite parking, full bar service, lounge seating, and fire pits.

For Kylie and Chase, that meant getting ready, the first look, ceremony, cocktails, dinner, toasts, and dancing all stayed connected.

That is a big deal for a Venue 5 Twenty-Two wedding photographer or videographer. More time with people. Less time in the car.

An Outdoor Lutheran Wedding Ceremony in Lincoln

The ceremony happened outside under the open-sided structure with greenery behind the altar and the venue sitting just beyond it.

The black wedding-party attire kept everything modern. White hydrangeas, blush details, trailing greenery, and crystal chandeliers kept it from feeling cold.

The Downtown Collective played live while family and the wedding party came down the aisle. Before Kylie walked out, she stopped for a moment with her dad. Then they made the walk together with Chase waiting at the front.

Faith was not just added into this ceremony because it sounded nice. It is part of Kylie and Chase's relationship and part of the venue itself.

Venue 5 Twenty-Two takes its name from Galatians 5:22 and the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Those were the same things being spoken over their marriage while they stood inside the place built around that name. That hit different.

Surrounded by More Than 400 People Who Loved Them

At one point, the officiant asked Kylie and Chase to turn around and look at everybody behind them.

Parents. Grandparents. Siblings. Friends. Their whole wedding party. More than 400 people who had watched them make it through distance, uncertainty, and a lot of time apart.

It only lasted a few seconds, but it said everything.

This was not just the opening chapter for a new Lincoln wedding venue. It was a room full of people standing behind two people they loved.

Vows, Rings, and a Unity Candle

Kylie and Chase exchanged traditional vows, rings, and lit a unity candle together.

The wind did what Nebraska wind does and made the candle a little less predictable. Honestly, I like that part. It is real. No perfect redo. No pretending the day was something it was not.

After the blessing, they shared their first kiss and walked back down the aisle with more than 400 people cheering behind them.

A Modern Black-and-White Wedding Reception

Inside Venue 5 Twenty-Two, the black-and-white design carried into the reception without feeling stiff.

White flowers and greenery softened the room. Black attire and the clean lines of the venue kept it modern. Once the warm reception light came on and everybody filled the space, it felt completely different than it had that morning.

Dinner came first, then five people gave toasts. That is where the day slowed down again. Parents, grandparents, siblings, close friends, and all the reactions Kylie and Chase could not see from the middle of the room.

That is the stuff we are always watching for.

Then DJ Romeo opened the dance floor and the whole thing got loud fast. Kylie and Chase had their first dance, the room filled up, and the venue their family imagined was finally doing exactly what it was built to do.

Hold a whole lot of people and give them a reason to stay awhile.
