Like finding the moment that makes a film work? Or bringing a whole photo gallery together? We’re looking for someone who enjoys the details and wants to keep getting better with a team.
What you’ll work on
This is primarily an editing role. You’ll turn wedding and commercial footage, interviews and photographs into finished work. You don’t need to bring your own cameras.
- Organize footage and photographs, choose strong moments, and sync cameras and audio.
- Build wedding films, ceremony edits, business videos and shorter social pieces.
- Work on story, pacing, music, dialogue, color and sound.
- Cull and edit photo galleries with consistent color and a natural look.
- Make revisions, check exports and prepare organized files for delivery.
It Takes a Village
A film for Wausa Communities for Kids. Interviews, supporting footage and a story about why local childcare matters.
Kylie & Chase
A wedding teaser from Venue 5 Twenty-Two in Lincoln. Real voices, careful pacing and the moments that make the day theirs.
See the photography side, too
A full gallery shows more than a few favorite portraits. Look through the getting-ready photographs, changing light, family groups and reception moments.
Gallery previews open in a new tab and may ask for your name and email. Viewing a gallery is separate from applying here.
What matters to us
Be dependable, organized and open to feedback. Ask questions, keep us updated and care about the people whose work is on your screen.
You don’t need to know every program on day one. If you’re stronger in video or photography than the other, tell us. Personal projects and school work are welcome.
Tools and training
We provide DaVinci Resolve Studio, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom and Photoshop for the role. Our workflow also uses licensed music and sound libraries.
We’ll work together on editing style, file organization, project handoffs and reviews. The first few months are in our Wausa office so we can learn the workflow together.
Real people. Plenty of practice.
You don’t have to figure
everything out alone.
I’m Trevor. My wife Hannah and I lead Fox Brush Films from Wausa. She leads photography, and I lead videography and editing. We work with our team, train together and talk through what could be better.
That means time with cameras, lighting, microphones and editing timelines. It also means asking questions and getting comfortable with the people beside you.

Good coverage starts
with a team that works together.
We’d also like to meet photographers, videographers and wedding video editors who enjoy working with other people and care about showing up prepared.
We cover weddings across Nebraska, including Omaha, Lincoln and Norfolk, with travel into South Dakota and the surrounding region. Tell us where you’re based and how far you’re comfortable traveling.

Photography, video, editing or experienced lead
Tell us where you feel strongest: photography, videography, both, wedding editing or leading wedding-day coverage. Share your experience and what you’d like to learn. Being comfortable with both photo and video doesn’t mean we expect you to do both jobs at once.
Training and equipment
We bring our wedding team together in Wausa for training once or twice a year. We practice with the equipment and talk through what went well and what we can improve.
We use Sony equipment and have company gear available for shoots. You’re welcome to tell us about your own setup, but owning cameras is not a requirement to express interest.
Availability, assignments and pay
Wedding assignments vary with bookings, availability, experience and readiness. We can’t promise a set number of weddings. Whether you’re hoping for an occasional date or as many as a good fit allows, let us know.
We’ll discuss the role, schedule and compensation before you commit to an assignment. Wedding-team interest is separate from the full-time editor opening above.
Wedding-team interest form
Tell us where you’re based, what you enjoy doing and the dates or travel that could work for you. No need to fill out the general application as well.
