Questions about your portrait session.

Families, seniors, mini sessions and professional headshots. Here is how to get started.

Can we include grandparents or several households in family photos?

Yes. Tell us who is coming and list the combinations you want, including names and relationships. A big group needs time to gather people, especially with young children. We can help decide whether a full session is a better fit than a 15-minute mini.

What is the difference between a mini session and a full portrait session?

Our mini sessions start at $195 for 15 minutes. They are a shorter option for a few fresh portraits. If you want several family combinations, outfit changes or more than one setting, ask about a longer session. We confirm the available date, location and included finished images before booking.

Where can we see senior photos and plan a session?

Our senior photography page has Jake, Gavin and Bella’s photographs, starting pricing and ideas for sessions around Norfolk, Yankton and Northeast Nebraska. Tell us about your interests, preferred setting and school yearbook deadline so we can plan around them.

How should we prepare for family photographs?

Start with who will be there, the photographs you want together and a time that works for the kids. Clothes do not need to match exactly. Choose things you feel comfortable wearing and let us know about anything that could affect the session, such as accessibility needs or a tight schedule.

What if the weather changes before our outdoor session?

We will talk through the forecast, available light and your location before the session. If conditions will not work, contact us so we can discuss another setting or date. Any rescheduling arrangements depend on your booking and availability.

Will the photos still look like us?

Yes. Our usual editing focuses on color, lighting, crops and selecting the strongest photographs. Some software includes AI-assisted tools, but we do not add invented people or scenes unless you specifically request that kind of change. Tell us about any additional retouching you want so we can explain the options and cost.

Do you photograph individual and company-team headshots?

Yes. We photograph professional headshots for individuals and teams, including staff pages, LinkedIn profiles and business marketing. Tell us the number of people and the look you want. We can discuss a consistent approach that suits your brand and the intended use.

Can headshots be taken at our office or another location?

We can discuss a location that fits the session and the people involved. For an office shoot, share the available space, natural light, access and team schedule so we can assess the setup. Location and lighting requirements are confirmed as part of your quote.

What should we wear, and will you help with posing?

Choose comfortable, well-fitting clothes that feel appropriate for your work and the way you want to be seen. Keep the overall look consistent across a team without requiring everyone to dress identically. We provide direction with posture, expression and positioning, so you do not need prior experience in front of a camera.

How many headshots do we receive, and is retouching included?

Image selection, finished image counts, editing and any additional retouching are set according to the session scope. Tell us if you need a particular background, crop or format for staff profiles or marketing. We will confirm what is included and the delivery timeline before you book.

Do you also offer senior, family and other portrait sessions?

Yes. We photograph seniors, families, couples and other portrait sessions, with location and timing planned around the people involved. See portrait photography for current options, or ask about a portrait or headshot session for you or your team.
